Modern Cataract Surgery – See well without glasses!

W
ith conventional cataract surgery, the standard of care is for a doctor to take two measurements of the eye and use standard lens implant, so you may still need to wear eyeglasses for many activities.

With Modern cataract surgery, we take numerous measurements and determine what type of replacement intraocular lens and additional procedures is best suited for your eye. Our practice is currently the only practice in Northern Michigan with one of the most precise instruments in the world of Haag-Streit’s Lenstar and Quantel’s Aviso Imaging for Cataract surgery. The result is typically better vision and reduced need for eyeglasses.

Just as in “measure twice, cut once”, the calculation and selection of most suitable intraocular lens is as important as the surgery itself for the outcomes of cataract surgery.
